About

We build the HR function when there isn't one yet.

Working with growing teams everywhere.

“Can you just… do this for us?”

The question founders kept asking. Now we do.

Why PeopleHappy exists

We've spent our careers inside the messiest, highest-growth environments. Fast-growing tech, e-commerce, franchises, non-profits, and consulting firms. We built the HR function from scratch when there wasn't one yet, hiring, training, coaching, and having the hard conversations nobody else wanted to have.

Companies kept asking the same thing: can you just do this for us? So that's what PeopleHappy does. An experienced people team on your side for the hours you actually need.

Working with growing teams everywhere.

Where the work happens

The rooms we've been in.

  • Fast-growing tech startups with 12 people and no handbook.
  • E-commerce teams hiring faster than they can onboard.
  • Non-profits running on heart, volunteers, and a shared Google Doc.
  • Consulting firms where a new hire goes client-facing on day one.
  • Franchises with turnover nobody had time to look at.

Same pattern every time: the company outgrows the way it's been run.

How we work, concretely

What an engagement actually looks like.

Week 1–2

We sit in on your team, not just your leadership. We learn where the friction actually is, not where the org chart says it should be.

Week 3–4

You get a plain-language plan: what to fix first, what can wait, and what it'll cost in time and money either way.

Ongoing

We stay embedded, reviewing, adjusting, and handling the parts nobody wants to own, until you don't need us anymore or you're ready for a full-time hire.

You don't need a full-time People leader yet. You do need people who've done it before.

That's the gap PeopleHappy fills, bringing experienced operators onto your team for the hours you actually need, and building things your managers can run without us.

Let's talk

Start with what's actually happening.

Bring the messy version, the thing you'd explain over coffee. That's the right place to start.
